Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Translate & Train mobile application (the "App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use the App.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

When you sign in to the App we receive one of the following from your identity provider:

We do not collect your name, profile picture, phone number, contacts, address, age, gender, or any other personal attribute from the identity provider.

We do not log the contents of your translations, dictionary entries, OCR images, or any prompts you send to AI models. Those contents are transmitted to the AI provider (see section 3) but are not retained by us beyond the duration of the request.

The App uses Google Gemini (a service of Google LLC) as its primary AI provider. When you use any AI feature (translate, analyze, generate, OCR), the text or image you submit is transmitted to Google Gemini through our backend in order to generate a response.

We have no control over what Google retains. You should not send secrets, personal credentials, or other sensitive data through the App.

In the future, we may add OpenAI and Anthropic as alternative AI providers, in which case their respective privacy policies will also apply when those providers are selected.

4. Data Storage and Retention

You may delete your account by emailing us (see section 9). On deletion, we remove your account record, redeemed promo history, and usage logs within 30 days.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

6. Security

We use HTTPS for all communication between the App and the backend. Tokens are stored in your device's secure storage. We do not transmit raw passwords because we do not use them — all authentication is delegated to Apple or Google.

No system is perfectly secure, however. You use the App at your own risk.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
